Welcome Welcome
Why hello there.
My name is Fatma. I'm 19 (a fact that is hard for me to wrap my head around sometimes), I'm a uni student, and *drum roll please* I love books. I review books mainly on my Goodreads, but I decided I'd start this blog to go alongside my Goodreads. I'll be posting a lot of my old reviews here just so I can make the blog a bit active, since it's kinda (very) empty at the moment.
But in the meantime, I guess I should introduce myself. I believe the things we love reflect who we are, at least to some extent, so I'm going to let you know the things I love:
1) Books. Shocker, I know.
2) Parks and Recreation. I kinda like Parks and Rec. And by like I mean adore. It's my all time favourite show and I will never ever ever grow tired of watching it.
3) Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Holt is my fav.
4) The Good Place. If you haven't watched this show yet and you liked Parks and Rec or Brooklyn Nine-Nine then you need to get on it!!!! It's by the same creator and it's fantastic. And so thought-provoking. Also, Kristen Bell is awesome.
5) Fresh Off the Boat. As an immigrant, this show speaks to me on so many levels. I love it and it's hilarious and Constance Wu is a goddess.
6) Skam. (especially season 3). Skam is so good and such an authentically teenage show. I'm so excited that Sana is the season 4 lead. EEP.
7) The Office. Ok this show isn't without its problems, and Michael is sometimes (i.e. always) a pain in the ass, but it has its moments.
8) Pride and Prejudice (2005 movie). I am absolute trash for this movie. I love it with all my heart. My favourite line is when Mr. Collins says, "It's been many years since I've had such an exemplary vegetable." What an icon.
9) You've Got Mail. I love this movie so much it's about BOOKS and AOL and who knew this would resonate with me, a 19-year-old student in 2017.
10) Moonlight. This movie is an absolute masterpiece, and I mean that in every sense of the word. The only appropriate response to watching it is staring at a wall for a prolonged amount of time and trying to gather the shattered pieces of your soul together.
11) Tangled. This movie just makes me so damn happy. It's so much fun. Flynn is forever my favourite and Rapunzel is so cute and Mother Gothel has the best songs (forever singing "Mother Knows Best").
And that's about it!
